Visiting the City
The culture and history of Istanbul are evident from every corner of Istanbul. Even if it is separated from each other as the Asian and European sides, different cultures and histories from both continents are brought together in a city.
Istanbul was formerly the capital of the Ottoman Empire before the country’s capital was changed to Ankara by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk when he established The Turkish Republic. The city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site later in 1950.
Getting around Istanbul is much easier and more convenient through Public transport as every site is easily accessible. All you need is to take a transportation card and then use it.
Istanbul has many privileges; you can visit many historical buildings, such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Dolmabahce Palace. Not just historical sightseeing, but Istanbul also offers shopping malls with national and international brands and other fun-filled activities like the Vialand theme park, Aquariums, LegoLand, and much more for kids and adults to enjoy.
