Eid al-Fitr falls in May 2022. The day of Arafa (Eve) will be May 1st. The first day of Eid al-Fitr will be the 2nd, and the last day will be the 4th.

What Are the Turkish Ramadan Holiday Traditions?

During this three-day celebration, the flow of life changes drastically. For Turkish people, it means a holiday because schools, government offices, banks, and even private establishments are closed for three and a half days from noon on the eve of the holiday. Fasting is strictly prohibited on the first day of Eid, so a light breakfast is recommended that day as a sign of non-fasting.
